Mounting
When it comes to mounting, versatility is key. The product
must be strong, but also fit inside a frame, stand or on a surface.
This is why Cashman ProPhoto Lab offers both Gatorboard and Foamcore in a
variety of thicknesses.
Foamcore is the original, heavy duty board of choice for the last several
decades. Its rigidity makes Foamcore a suitable backing for
signage, exhibits and displays.
Over time, the corners can become dented and bent. Gatorboard is easy to mount
on and laminate, but is difficult to cut into unique shapes.
Gatorboard is heavier than foamcore, but is significantly more durable.
Corners are less likely to become damaged. Gatorboard
is made from Styrofoam, but newer products are much more ecologically friendly,
CFC free and biodegradable.
Both gatorboard and foamcore come in a variety of thicknesses to adapt to your
needs. In house cutting and laminating capabilities ensure
your product is mounted as well as it is printed.
